Hello my name is Dan and I am a Christian, husband, father, software developer, guitar player, and a Walt Disney World fan. I am married to Angie and we have three daughters we adopted from Ukraine, as well as two furry boys Conner and Buddy. I went to Walt Disney World for the first time in 2005 when we adopted our first daughter. I was expecting to find a glorified carnival, but I was completely surprised by the whole experience! Disney truly does a great job of pulling you into the story, making you believe you are a part of it. I was won over by “the magic” and was hooked! (why I love Walt Disney World) Needless to say I have returned to The World several times since, even a few solo trips. Then in the summer of 2010, we made a trip to the original, yep, Disneyland in California. It was great to see the park that started it all and “walk in the footsteps of Walt”. Since then, I started listening to Disney podcasts, reading fan blogs, following the magic on Twitter, even reading a book or two about Walt Disney himself.
I had no idea there was such a passionate, diverse Disney fan base! There are so many cool and fun ways Disney fans can all come together and share “the magic”. One way my wife and I discovered was was runDisney, In January of 2013 my wife and I ran our first Disney half-marathon! It was an amazing experience. Much for fun than run! Then in 2014 my wife stepped up and ran he first full marathon. Whoa! It was amazing to see all of the Disney fans, young and old, come out and get fit! They are many other ways to share your Disney passion and I can’t wait to experience some others.
